Larysa Sanchez, MDis an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Hematology and Oncology in the Myeloma Division at the Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Center, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Director of Geriatrics in Myeloma. She completed undergraduate work at The College of New Jersey and subsequently went on to attend medical school at St. George’s University. She completed residency training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and hematology/oncology fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. After completing fellowship in 2020, Dr. Sanchez joined the Myeloma Division at Mount Sinai. She has specific research interests in improving outcomes in older adults with multiple myeloma as well as early phase clinical trials and the investigation of novel therapeutic regimens, particularly immunotherapies, in multiple myeloma. Dr. Sanchez serves as principal investigator on multiple clinical trials investigating bispecific and trispecific antibodies in myeloma and as Director for Geriatrics in Myeloma has developed clinical trials in older adults with myeloma. She has authored or coauthored numerous scientific papers and reviews and has presented at national meetings, including ASH and ASCO.
